We had the perfect weekend! After a fun-filled weekend in Carolina Beach last weekend, we were overdue for some R&R. We spent Saturday cleaning, laying out by the pool with my Mom and Dad and then a long 8-mile bike ride. That night we met up with Gina and Joel at VBGB. Gina introduced me to Instagram, a really cool IPhone app that lets you manipulate pictures. I am addicted! We took a few at VBGB, but we've noticed that the pictures are quite fuzzy if you have to use the flash.
You can still get some cool effects, but I wish they were a little bit more defined.
We decided to take Bentley for a walk on the Sugar Creek Greenway on Sunday and the abundance of sunshine (and heat!) allowed for some amazing pictures. They continue to add on lots of architectural pieces that have made the greenway a very popular weekend retreat for Charlotte families.
On our last Greenway walk, we made it all the way from 4th street to Freedom Park, did a loop around the lake and then came back. The total distance was about 7 miles. This time, Bentley wasn't really feeling the heat so we only walked about 2.5 miles. Luckily they have little water fountains for dogs along the paths. Bentley spent the rest of the day napping on the couch.
