34 Weeks!

How Far Along?: 34 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: +23.5 lbs
Maternity clothes:  Yep!  Hoping the weather will warm up so I can start wearing my maxi dresses and stop wearing boots!
Stretch Marks: Nope, just some crazy looking veins.
Sleep:  Still in bed before 10 every night.  My body pillow is now used to prop my head up so my hips are starting to suffer :(
Best Moment This Week:  Getting the rocker base for the bassinet from my mom and sisters.  It is SO cute!  I will have to post some updated pictures of the nursery soon.
Have you told Family and Friends:  Everyone!  Strangers are starting to ask when I'm due now, which is fun :)
Miss Anything:  Sleeping comfortably and going for longer runs
Movement:  Still a mover and a shaker :)
Food Cravings: Fruit and Veggies.  I signed up for organic produce delivery to the house from a local farm in Newton and its AWESOME!  The amount and quality for the price is unbeatable.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Certain smells, but not too bad
Have you started to show yet: Yep
Labor Signs:  Occasional braxton hicks contractions now and then
Belly Button: Flat
Wedding Rings on or off: Still on :) 
Happy or Moody: Happy!  I think this produce kick has energized me.
Looking forward to: A long weekend and spending time with family :)

33 Weeks

Ok, so I've never been a fan of the bare belly pictures which is one of the reasons I don't plan on doing any type of maternity photo shoot.  I keep seeing this kind of picture on Pinterest though and I think it's so cute.  During our workout yesterday, I was holding my stomach and glanced in the mirror to see that my hands were semi-heart shaped and decided to go with it.  Taylor officially stole my heart months ago anyway :).

 

 

 

 

How Far Along?:  33 weeks 1 day
Total weight gain/loss: 23.5 lbs
Maternity clothes:  Yep!  Elastic pants and maxi dresses from here on out :)
Stretch Marks:  Nope.  However, I get these weird pains sometimes when I walk.  It literally feels like my stomach is tearing.  The doctor said its just from growth and not to worry.  I'm loading up on lotion just in case :).
Sleep:  I still wake up throughout the night but I think it is mostly due to Taylor's apparent exercise schedule interfering with my sleep schedule :).
Best Moment This Week:  Putting together the bookcase for the nursery!  I ordered one from Pottery Barn Kids that was backordered for over a month.  It finally came this weekend and I put it together and bolted it to the wall all by myself!  I was so proud.  I then started stocking it with all the books I received from the shower and I just broke down and cried...hysterically.  I am so in love with this little girl already I can't imagine what a mess I will be when I finally get to meet her.
Have you told Family and Friends:  Why of course!
Miss Anything:  Laying on my stomach, breathing comfortably, finding a comfortable position to sit and watch TV...
Movement:  Oh yes!  I keep reading that I'm probably only feeling "squirms and wiggles" due to the cramped space.  Not quite.  This little girl is all over the place and gets fierce with some of her moves!  I'm starting to feel little feet and hands!  :)
Food Cravings:  Sweets, fruit, CADBURY MINI EGGS!! Hooray Easter!
Anything making you queasy or sick:  I LOVE salads but lately they haven't been agreeing with me :(
Have you started to show yet:  Yep

Growing Baby Bump!

I thought it'd be neat to track my growing Baby Bump so far.  Two more months to go!  Baby Taylor has a lot of fattening up to do so I'm in for some major "expanding" I'm sure!

Baby Shower Number 1!

My sister in law, Season, sent me several pictures from the Baby Shower hosted by my mom and sisters this past Saturday.  They did such a wonderful job decorating and keeping my yellow and grey theme throughout.  The amount of detail that went into their planning is incredible. 

They had several clotheslines of onesies displayed throughout the house with pretty yellow and white roses.  My sister's husband, Bill, picked out the Panthers onesie shown above in the middle :).  He even thought ahead to get the 6 month size so she'd be all set for football season!

My mom and sisters gave me the beautiful bassinet with grey and yellow bedding and filled it with all sorts of presents for Taylor.

They even dressed in yellow and grey!  Not me though :).  I'm limited to whatever I can find that 1) fits and 2) is comfy!

Chandelier!

I will start off by saying that it is virtually impossible to take decent pictures of a chandelier.  I wanted to show the full effect of the crystals and how pretty the reflections are on the walls of the nursery, but it just didn't happen.  There was a terrible amount of glare and fuzziness.  The two below are ok, but you will just have to come and check out the real thing :).

I didn't want a tiered chandelier or anything too ornate or fancy looking.  I was also very particular about it being a flush mount.  I HATE having visible wires or cords.  I can't say enough how much I love this chandelier.  Craig and his dad hung it for me while I was at the baby shower on Saturday and I was so excited when I came home and saw it on.  I chose a more neutral yellow and grey color combination for the room, so I wanted to add a touch of femininity and this chandelier did just that!

Baby Shower Goodies!

Yesterday was my first baby shower hosted by my two sisters and my mom.  Unfortunately, the battery for my camera had not yet arrived by the time I left the house, so I don't have any pictures of the shower itself.  I have been promised pictures from several who were able to attend, so I will post them as soon as I can.  The shower was absolutley beautiful and they put so much hard work into it!  From the adorable clothesline onesies displayed throughout the house, to the diaper cake and the "Ready To Pop" popcorn favors, it was quite a special afternoon :).

Baby Taylor also lucked out with LOTS of very special gifts.  I think there were probably about 15 people there, which is shocking when you see the amount of stuff we came home with!  I have such amazing friends and family and little Taylor is one very lucky little girl!

 

 

This first picture shows all the loot we came home with.  Surprisingly, everything but the stroller and highchair fit in my little Rogue.

 

 

 

There was an insert included with the invitations asking everyone to bring a book to stock Taylor's bookshelf so the diaper bag shown was PACKED with amazing children's books, including several from GiGi that Craig read as a child :).  My mom will soon be providing several of mine as well.  As you can see, we also received a pack-n-play, baby carrier and Brica mirror.

 

 

This beautiful bassinet was given to me by my mom and sisters.  The bedding is yellow and grey which matches our theme perfectly :).  We also received LOTS of adorable gowns and onesies, Taylor's first piggy bank and some receiving blankets.

 

I can't wait until our next shower in a few weeks! 





8 Months!

How far along? 32 Weeks, 1 Days
Total weight gain/loss: +22.5  lbs
Maternity clothes?  Nothing new really.  Still a lot of leggings and long shirts.  I have picked up some maxi dresses and skirts that I will hopefully be able to wear soon with the weather warming up!
Stretch marks? Nope, but I think I'm starting to see the linea nigra they talk about.  Weird!
Sleep:  My hips have been bothering me a lot.  I think it is mostly attributed to my running, but I'd rather stay in shape and deal with the minor discomforts.  I also have a LOT of congestion at night.
Best moment this week:  Daylight Savings!  AND my most amazing Baby Shower put on by sisters and mother.  They did a wonderful job and put so much effort into it.  I will post pictures very soon!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? With the weather warming up, I'm missing mimosas and a cold beer.
Movement:  Tons.  Bentley was curled up against me last night and actually jumped when he felt her kick :)
Food cravings:  Chocolate, stuffed crust pizza, golden delicious apples, Qdoba burrito bowls

Nursery Preview

Exactly two months from today is my due date!  We are so unbelieveably excited to meet our little girl!  I still have a few items for the nursery that have yet to arrive, but I thought I would post some pictures to give everyone a little preview.

 

 

 

The color scheme is grey and yellow so we actually decided to keep the mustardy-taupe walls as they were.  The crib and and changing table are part of the Enchantment collection from Baby Furniture Plus Kids off of I-77.  We were starting to get a little overwhelmed when we initially started looking for cribs and immediately fell in love with this collection when we saw it.  The off white color and antique details add some feminitity to the room and the crib converts to three stages so Taylor will be able to keep it her teen years (I'm sure that will actually happen).

The room is rather small so I didn't want an extremely large glider.  I also couldn't find a white wooden one that I liked so I opted for the grey microfiber.  It is Babyletto brand and VERY comfortable.  I will randomly go in the nursery and sit in it and try to visualize my life in a few months.  You can also see Bentley in the corner of this picture :).   He LOVES going in the nursery.  We actually have to keep the door closed so he won't go hide under the crib.

I bought the prints off of Etsy and I love how they turned out.  The yellow and grey along with the MiGi bedding lend themselves very well to a sunshine theme.  You can't really read it from the picture, but the prints are the lyrics for You Are My Sunshine.  I got the galvanized letters from Anthropologie and I love these also.  They were a monster to hang as they are pretty heavy and it was quite tricky to get the spacing just right, but it was worth it.

We are still waiting on the bookshelf and chandelier so I will continue to post updates with new pictures as we finalize some of the details :).
